If your home has been on the market for weeks without an offer, repeating the same strategy and hoping for a different result is rarely useful.

The lack of offers is feedback. The important question is what that feedback is telling you.

1. Revisit the price

Price is one of the first things buyers use to compare your home with other options. If enquiries are low or buyers consistently choose competing properties instead, review the comparable sales and current competition rather than relying on the original expectation.

2. Look at the presentation

Most buyers first meet your property online. Dark photography, cluttered rooms, weak styling or an unclear first image can reduce interest before a buyer ever reaches the front door.

Review the photos, the order they appear in and how clearly they communicate the best parts of the home.

3. Review the sales method

The method that made sense at launch may not always be the best method later. If buyer behaviour is telling you something different, discuss whether the campaign structure should change.

4. Check the marketing data

Ask what the listing analytics show. Are people viewing the property online? Are they clicking through? Are enquiries coming in? Are open homes producing second visits?

The difference between low exposure and low buyer interest matters because the response should be different.

5. Have the difficult conversation

A useful agent should be prepared to discuss what is and is not working. You need clear feedback about price, presentation, marketing and buyer response, not reassurance for its own sake.
